It wasn’t as difficult as I was told it would be. Partly because I knew what I wanted, that definitely helped! But I just had to make sure it worked for my plans. I knew, ever since I realised I wanted to marry Pete, that I wanted a May wedding date. May is important to me for a couple of reasons;
But Pete threw a spanner in the works… his first wedding was late May and he made it clear he wanted to avoid May. But thankfully, I had an Ace up my sleeve. Pete and I are both geeky; we both love the original Star Wars films. So when I realised that May the Fourth would be on the bank holiday Monday in 2015; Pete loved the idea without hesitation.
You may have gathered by now, I’m pretty clued in with know what I want. Something Pete is still coming to terms with (in a good way, I think?)… We agreed on a small ceremony, followed by a nice meal with our guests. I’ll be honest, my heart was already set on one reception venue. And luck had it, they were having a wedding fair in January! So my mum, Pete and I went along.
And I fell in love…
I fell in love, as did my mum and Pete. So we booked the wedding breakfast! Which means…
So, I will be married on:
So the only venue we have to work out is where we’re going to get the legal / ceremony sorted… not too sure where yet, but it needs to be close. So yay! It’s slowly coming together :)
